History and Organization

Quikbook.com has been in continuous operation since it was founded in 1988. The company originated as an independent call-center hotel reservation service and is now a fully integrated online and call center distributor of hotels offered at deeply discounted rates. Our corporate offices and state-of-the-art reservation center are located at 381 Park Avenue South in New York City.

How Quikbook.com Works

Quikbook.com works in partnership with a wide variety of independent properties and hotel chains in over 100 of the most-traveled-to destinations. All hotels have rooms that frequently go unused. Quikbook.com negotiates individually to obtain the lowest possible rates in exchange for helping the hotels put "heads in beds" that would otherwise be unoccupied. We help hotels increase utilization in down periods in exchange for access to rooms in higher-demand periods.

The guaranteed lowest rates, up to 60% off, are offered on all hotels available directly from Quikbook.com. The same rates are available whether a guest books online or by calling our toll-free reservation center.

Quikbook.com offers side-by-side access to hotels that offer travelers either of two payment options. "Quikpick" hotels allow the customer to make a confirmed reservation, guarantee it with a credit card, but pay nothing until checking out at the end of the stay. Quikbook.com levies NO fees to change or cancel such a reservation.

Clearly labeled "Prepay" hotels ask the customer to pay the room rate plus taxes and fees at the time of booking. Quikbook's change/cancel fee for prepaid reservations is among the industry’s very lowest, just $10.

Quikbook.com represents a full range of hotels from 5-star hotels and resorts to boutiques, from business hotels to budget-priced properties. They range in size from 40 to 1,700 rooms. Quikbook.com selects hotels that are well located near business, entertainment or transportation centers. Our goal is not to offer every hotel in a market. Instead, we aim to offer a well-chosen selection of premier hotels that offer guests a range of options. The result is a more concise, pre-selected list of hotels that simplify the booking process.

In 2004, we added access to Hotel Marketplace, a separate website that offers reservations at more than 55,000 hotels worldwide. Hotel Marketplace aids customers who seek a destination or specific hotel not offered at Quikbook.com. The rates offered at Hotel Marketplace are not negotiated by Quikbook.com and are not subject to our lowest-rate guarantee.
