Amsterdam Court Hotel

You will be OK as long as you don’t expect too much. Small rooms but clean. Someone in the hotel told me they recently did a light refurbishment so it looked a little more up to date. Staff was pleasant-nothing more. Cannot beat the Times Square location

You get what you pay for… I did not pay a lot there fore I did not get a lot. If you want deluxe accommodation, this is not the hotel for you.

This was our second stay at this hotel. We had booked a room with two double/queen beds. We checked in and upon getting in our room we discovered it was a smoking room. We returned to the desk and stated that we could not stay in a smoking room. We were upgraded to a deluxe king room (no non-smoking doubles available). This room was twice as large and very nice. There is a huge difference between a standard and deluxe room. Our room was over looking 50th St. There were three large windows so there was a lot of street noise. In the mornings we could hear the water pipes from other rooms but we always had plenty of hot water. We love this hotel because of the location and price--a half block from the subway that runs from JFK and a half block from Broadway and Time Square. We will definitely return.

The check-in was easy and friendly, but the room was not so comfortable. We requested two double beds, which probably limited the choice of room. The room badly needed updating. The window AC was very noisy and did not automatically maintain a temperature. We moved after the first night.

The rooms were quite small, but clean. The staff was very helpful and accommodating and the location couldn be better.
