Great location; friendly staff, clean.

The hotel is clean and attractive, although some carpets and furnishings are showing their age. We had a studio suite, with a comfortable king size bed and kitchenette. All staff was helpful and pleasent, although the front desk clerk at check in told me we were lucky that our room was ready at 2pm, when check in was at three. No wireless unless you pay for 24 hours access, which we found did not last 24 hours. Tower restaurant has a magnificent view, but was expensive.
Ask for a high floor

I like the Beekman very much. It is very quiet and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are generally very pretty and comfortable and provide good value for money. However, ask for a room on a higher floor. The smoking rooms are on the lowest floors and are not very attractive or comfortable because they have little light and appear not to have been renovated.
