The Flatotel Hotel is convenient to Fifth Avenue shopping, Rockefeller Center, major corporate headquarters and great New York restaurants. Decor in this midtown NYC hotel is modern with shades of white and beige offset with touches of color. The Business Center provides high-speed Internet and guests have access to a large fitness room with sauna. The Flatotel Hotel has 288 guestrooms, most of which are decorated with earthy colors, geometric bedspreads, Egyptian linens, a refrigerator, microwave and compact furnishings-including dresser drawers built into the foot of the bed. Some Flatotel hotel rooms have midtown views and feature Herman Miller Aeron chairs, flat-screen cable TV, VCR, CD radio, High-speed Internet access(fee), and a dual-line phone. Bathrooms are marble, with iridescent tile insets. You can enjoy complimentary internet in the hotels public areas and lounges.

My confirmation was for a king size bed with a request for 2 double beds. The hotel came through and we got a room with 2 doubles which was terrific.

We had very good service right from the start. We went to hotel to drop off our bags about 3 hours before check in and they actually let us check in and get into our room.Room was clean and had plenty of space and great view! A bit weird that you had to call down for ice to be delivered and the ice bucket didnt fit in the side by side freezer - but service was great and accomodated any request we had.

The hotel was very clean and location was excellent. The room was very large and the towels luxurious - it was dark in the room, not enough light - but a little thing compared to how great everything else was.

Except for the elevators, the Flatotel was great. The rooms were large, beds comfortable, and the front desk helpful.

We had our hotel room upgraded to a luxurious upper floor suite after asking politely. This is probably not usually the policy, but since it was available, the desk was delighted to give it to us since they had it. This was given to us despite the wonderfully low price from Quikbook.
