Our 6-day stay at the Gansevoort Park Hotel was simply *amazing* and the staff was so very attentive, kind and professional- especially the hotel manager, Mr. Michael Ryan. We felt like we had the art direction + ambience of a boutique hotel with the 5 star service equivalent to Four Seasons. With no hesitation, we recommend this hotel. We will stay here again when we visit NYC.

We stayed in a double double with our small kids. Rooom was reasonable size for NYC and was very well fitted-out. Good shower, good quality shampoo etc., and the WiFi was free. We loved the roof-top bar/pool and we were impressed by the breakfast buffet selection. The location is excellent for visiting with kids (normally we would prefer to be down around SoHo). would definately recommend and we will stay again if we can get a good rate but I suspect that this hotel will be very successful and hence get more expensive in the future!

They are still working out a few kinks, especially at the front desk, but overall it`s a great hotel in a great location. The lounge and rooftop pool are lovely venues. The rooms are a little "corporate" rather than designer looking, but they are nice sized for New York, and the bathrooms are large. The towel racks were a design flaw (they are so close to the wall that you have to wrestle the towels free), and the photographs that are used as the primary wall decor are cheap and cheesy looking (even apart from the content). Overall, a good choice for the area as long as pricing stays below $500/night.
