The Jane is an affordable, no frills "microhotel" located in the storied West Village/Meatpacking District area at 113 Jane Street, right on the Hudson River. Originally built as a hotel for sailors with cabin-like rooms, the landmarked hotel was recently restored by the team that did the Maritime Hotel and the Bowery Hotel.

The Jane caters to a younger crowd that is looking for a unique and stylish place to crash each night. Reminiscent of a ships' cabins or railcar compartments, the rooms here are called "cabins" and they are tiny! They average around 50 square feet. Each cabin features a single bed, luggage rack, free wireless internet, telephone with voicemail, 23"-inch LCD television, DVD player, and iPod dock.

All cabins share the communal bathrooms located at the end of the hall on each floor.
