Gild Hall - A Thompson Hotel is a small luxury hotel located in Manhattan’s Financial District, just minutes away from the Federal Reserve Bank, Wall Street and the Stock Exchange, abundant shopping and dining at South Street Seaport, and several more tourist attractions. All 126 rooms including 10 suites are newly renovated, well appointed and feature custom-made furniture and luxurious amenities such as 400-thread count Sferra linens, exclusive Spa products, Bigelow bath products , High Definition LCD TVs and an iPod docking station. The stylish bathrooms are spacious and well-lit. Designed by famed Jim Walrod, the hotel’s interior boasts warm tones of chocolate, red, and gold, and the recently unveiled, brand-new hotel lobby is a masterpiece of his work. Hotel services include 24-hour fitness rooms, business center and Concierge services, daily delivery of The Wall Street Journal and daily turndown service. The hotel restaraunt is Libertine, a clubby enviroment serving homey English pub food. Children stay free in their parents' room with existing bedding.

My only complaint is that the comforter was too heavy for the weather. A light blanket would have solved the problem.

We enjoyed our stay at the Gild Hall a lot. This hotel is a very good hub to visit New York City as it is very close to Fulton Street subway station(s) and its 11 lines ! Plus the staff is very nice and helpful.

Crazy holiday drive into the city with traffic gridlock everywhere. Upon arriing at the Gild, the front desk person greeted us with a warm, genuine smile and offered us a glass of champagne. Lovely touch. Funky decor, staff that is just the right degree of laid back yet attentive. Wonderful light duvet on the bed. Checked out a 3.5 star in the neighborhod, Gild Hall SOOO much better, very subtle differences that make the difference.

If you value comfort, location and quality service, Gild Hall should be on your short list of NYC venues. It is everything the "cookie cutters" uptown are not. Exceptionally welcoming staff provided directions and advice regarding the area and the city as a whole. Room was average size, but very chic, crisp and well taken care of, with nice touches everywhere, from superb bedding to toilet amenities to the large HD flat screen. For the money, you`d have to go a long, long way to find a better weekend stay. Quiet streets, walking distance to Wall Street, Ground Zero, Brooklyn Bridge, Seaport Museum, and all of Lower Manhattan. A short block from the subway to everywhere else. Gild Hall is truly a hidden treasure. We`ll be back.

This is our second time staying at the Gild Hall. It is a terrific place to stay. Our room was smaller this time than last, but was still ample and very comfortable. The hotel is located in the Financial District and close to a number of subway lines, but is tucked away on a little street and very quiet. We are looking forward to a return visit.

This hotel was amazing. It was intimate and very relaxing. The customer service was excellent. The hotel room was clean. Every staff memeber that I encountered was very helpful and always cheerful. I would recommend this hotel to everyone that I know.

great hotel -- decor, location, staff were terrific. we upgraded to a king suite, which was spacious and well worth the extra money. there was some street and next door party noise, but we ran the fan all night, which took care of the problem. would definitely stay here again.

Very nice hotel, although a bit difficult to find even for native NYer. But got a great rate, room was good sized and the bed was very comfortable. Khiels and cool bathroom a nice touch. the ceilings were very high.
