Great Hotel!

The hotel was great. The staff and setting made me feel like I was special. It felt much nicer than the price point would indicate. My room was upgraded to a queen from a standard without even asking. The room is very stylish. It might have been a bit tight for two, but it worked quite well for me. I will return.

The location and room rate we got on Hudson were great. The room left a lot to be desired. VERY small. So much so, that I had to turn sideways between the bed and the flat screen TV that was mounted on the wall to get to my side of the bed. The bathroom was even tinier--you could barely turn around. Not much area to put your belongings, particularly for those visiting NY with a lot of clothing.

Loved the public places. The Library and the patio area. The hotel is in a great location, near Central park. The rooms are a little small, but it worked fine for me and my niece.

The room is tiny, but well-arranged, clean and functional. The hotel decore is quite odd--corridors are barely lit, the lobby is large and noisy. The walk to my room from the elevator was very long. Overall, though, for the price I paid it was a good deal.

The Hudson definitely has personality with its green-lit escalators and its vine-covered lobby. The staff was very friendly and helpful. One negative is that the standard queen room is very tiny.

Hip hotel in a convenient area. Rooms are well-appointed, but small. The bathroom is EXTREMELY small, no bigger than a closet.

It has been four years since we last stayed here and the hotel is looking a little worse for wear, minor stuff like bashed in gypsum corners. But the staff are friendly and attentive and the rooms are still the best small sized spaces of any NYC hotel we have stayed in.

Close to Perfect

The hotel was fun, clean, and the room perfect for one night, although its European-style compactness would be considered too small for more than one or two nights for an American couple. It had charm and comforts, although the iPod dock did not work, the floor was missing one plank next to the bed, and the windows were very leaky - giving in lots of fresh air! The thermostat worked erratically, so if you want a very warm room, it would have been difficult to maintain the temperature. It was perfect for us!
