Hotel is very nice, and conveniently located in the upper West Side. The lobby is tastefully appointed and the staff frankly are wonderful. They are getting a restaurant this week next door with a connection from the lobby which is terrific. Room was tiny but, that is the way it goes. Shower floor needs bleach. Finally, a 40 story building is going up next door. Ask for a room NOT on the street. Ours was not on the street and it was fine...and, they do not drill at night. Last request..no room safes.

Staff was very pleasant and helpful. They upgraded me to a balcony room at no extra charge. Great location. Room was clean and nicely finished, bed was comfortable. All in all, a great value for the price.

Stylsh, modern hotel with comfortable rooms and great location on Upper West Side. Front desk staff and concierge very helpful. Near two great food specialty shops -- Zabars and Citarella.

Great location near subway stop (2 blocks from the no. 1 at 79th Street), restaurants and shopping. Tasteful, comfortable and clean room with a very comfortable bed. Friendly and helpful staff.

First time to stay here. Recommended by a local New Yorker, I was extremely pleased with everything. My guest and I stayed on the 10th floor, farthest from the elevator at the end of the hall, so it was reasonably quiet. The doors are rather heavy, so the only thing that was loud was when guests closed the doors to their room. Room was spacious, bed was so phenomenal, we peeled back the covers to reveal the brand of mattress so we could buy one for our home! Closet space was tiny, but that was okay, since we only stayed for 3 nights, we did not have many clothes to store. Bathroom was great. Sink was nice and deep, shower had a removable shower head with great water pressure and ample hot water. If you take long showers, this is a great shower stall. Coffeemaker in the room was nice, so you can brew your own cup before leaving your room. It brews a single cup at a time, so it was perfect for us. My only concern was that there was no hairdryer in our room and we had to call front desk to ask for one. We had to call twice, because our 1st request went unanswered. Wonderful location, close to 72nd street subway station. Diner just across the street is open 24/7. All the amenities you need are available from this hotel. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. They slide your receipt under your door the morning of your last day there. Everything is itemized so you can make sure there were no hidden fees or charges. They were also very nice to allow us to check out an hour and a half after the usual check-out time of NOON. I would definitely stay here again, and I would recommend this place to family members and friends.

Pros - good use of small space. bed very comfortable. The windows can be opened for fresh air!!! Cons - charging for internet use in the business center.

The hotel and hotel staff were great! It was very convienent to where I needed to be and the hotel staff went out of their way to accomodate me. The TV was not working in my room, and I was immediately given a different room that was an upgrade. The staff went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. The bathrooms are a little too small and there was no pen or paper pad to write on, other than that, I had a great time staying there.

The reviews had cautioned about the extremely small size of the least expensive rooms so we opted for a deluxe. The room itself was well proportioned with plenty of light and the bathroom was spacious although poorly heated. The staff was helpful. Be prepared for the two elevators being slow. There was also a mistake on our bill--we were charged for two local phone calls that we did not make so review your bill carefully. The front desk, however, immediately rescinded the charges. There are no safes in the room for those travelers who have laptops or other valuables they prefer leaving in an in-room safe. However, despite these small inconveniences, we enjoyed our stay and would use this hotel again.

Our room was spacious and attractively designed. The entire staff was outgoing and helpful. Would highly recommend this quaint hotel for those wanting to be near the Central Park area.
