A prominent landmark situated on Madison Avenue and 45th Street in Midtown New York City, the Roosevelt Hotel was named in honor of President Theodore Roosevelt. Centrally located, guests can easily access Grand Central Station, airports and many other New York attractions & businesses. The Roosevelt features Italian Renaissance architecture and neo-Classical interiors, including a striking terraced lobby area with gold leaf, wrought iron accents and an impressive chandelier. Each traditionally designed guestroom is appointed with the "Roosevelt Bed" featuring a soft duvet in a rich foundation of triple-layered sheets, and an array of five plush pillows. Additional in-room amenities include high-speed Internet access(surcharge, dual telephone lines with voice mail, dataport capabilities, work desk area with an ergonomic chair and an entertainment center. We were very pleased with the hotel. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We were there with our children they liked looking out the window to see the people below. We would stay at this hotel again

The hotel is generally nice, with a pretty lobby and friendly desk staff. The rooms are small, but for a single traveller, not too small. My only complaint is that the rooms are not well insulated from sound. I had a room next to a family with children whose piercing little voices one heard from 6 am to 11 pm. Noises from the hall were especially loud. On the whole, however, I have stayed here several times because it is reasonably priced, convenient and has just the right amenities for my business travel needs.

Bedding comfortable - Room clean - Staff friendly - only dissatisfied with location of room - asked for quiet room when checked in and they placed us across from elevators - when asked to change they said there were no rooms available even though we checked in before 1 pm.

Great staff, rooms were nice, beds were comfortable, great location to shopping, transportation. Hotel Bar was nice and I ate a lite dinner there every night, great bartenders. I will be back to stay for all of those reasons.

The room was big, the bed very comfortable, all necessary equipment was there. The housekeeper service (we asked for help to open the window because we have an allergy problem with air condition) very friendly, reactive and helpful. Same with reception and storage of our luggage after check-out. The decoration of the hotel is quite oldfashioned, a bit dark, but it gives it a certain outdated but charming ambiance.

Roosevelt is a classic hotel that, although is not the most expensive one, knows how to take care of the needs of the NYC visitor either for busines or pleasure, located in the heart of the island, safe and comfortable.

The hotel has the charm associated with an old hotel. The lobby is large and attractive. The room was small but nice and the bathroom was redone, although there was mold where the walls met the ceiling. The overall service was good.
