The Standard Downtown LA hotel, located in the heart of LA's financial district and minutes away from the Little Tokyo, is also four miles from Union Station and 22 miles from Los Angeles International Airport. Guest rooms are well-appointed with platform beds, a mini-bar, a HD TV, 14 foot work desk, complimentary Internet access, iHome docking station, work desk,in-room safe, on demand movies, and dual line phones with data port and voicemail. The hotel offers a concierge desk, spa services, 24 hour fitness center, valet parking, urban barber shop and gift shop and laundry services. The roof top infinity pool features private waterbed cabanas, and a poolside lounge and bar with panoramic views of the Downtown skyline. There is an on-site restaurant with outdoor patio that serves international cuisine 24 hours a day. The Standard Downtown LA hotel holds a lobby lounge with a billiards table and a DJ or live entertainment acts nightly.
Note:
The Cheap rooms are 280 sq. ft. & feature a queen size platform bed and a glass encased shower for the exhibitionist in you. All Cheap category rooms are smoker-friendly rooms loacted on the third floor which is a smoking floor.
At the time of check-in, the hotel will take an authorization of $150 per night to cover incidental charges. Please be aware that if a debit or check card is presented at the time of check-in, your bank may place a hold on your account in that amount for up to two weeks after departure. Cash deposits for the incidental charges will not be taken.

Great facilities - fantastic pool and restaurant and great service. Very comfortable beds. Also, great hair salon for blowouts right downstairs. The view from the rooftop pool is one of the best in the city. Reasonable rate for a lovely property. My favorite place to stay in LA using Quikbook!

Fun room, helpful staff and free access to rooftop pool/bar. Plus kitsch. What more could you want?
Comtemporary and Comfortable

It was very contemporary, but quite comfortable. It was close to everything and had 24 hr room service! I was there for a week and all of the staff was wonderful. The gym was okay.

The Standard is a great hotel. It offers a great restaurant and bar, actually 2 bars, nice rooms, and great extras such as decent bath products, etc.
