Wellington Hotel

I have stayed at the Wellington numerous times before. This hotel is well located, and the room I stayed in was recently renovated.

Great location! Check-in was fast and I was upgraded to a larger room. I had requested a higher floor and was given that, not to mention a room with a view of both 55th St. and 7th Ave. The room was clean and the linens were fresh. Kewl products were in the bathroom. The only things I noticed that might be of concern were the chain lock on the door was broken and the desk lamp did not work (probably needed a light bulb but I didn`t care enough to bother the staff). Even though the hotel seemed busy I never had to wait in line for the smallish elevators. I found the service to be friendly and helpful! For the price I paid I was very satisfied with my experience and would consider staying there again.

I absolutely loved my stay at the Algonquin. The room was tasteful and comfortable, the staff was friendly and accomodating, and the lobby bar was lively. I would not hesitate to recommend the Algonquin.

Very centrally located with subway around the corner and within walking distance from Central park and Times Square. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel is reasonably priced. Neighborhood safe.

Great position for visiting all the sights. 10 mins Central Park, Broadway, Times Square. Everything within easy walking distance. Subway immediately outside hotel, also very good cafe, Central Cafe, attached to hotel. Excellent food and good value. Get down early in the morning for breakfast as long queues form. Our first room on the 14th floor had view of walls and windows, no problem changing it, given room on 24th fl. with view of Central Park. Would recommend this hotel without doubt. Hope to return to New York and would stay here again.

We were very satisfied with our stay at the Wellington. We had no surprises with our room was exactly like we expected for the age of the hotel. Everything worked fine in the room. We happened to get a great location in the hotel which msde our stay even better.

My room was on the 16th flooor, which had been redecorated. The room was large and comfortable. The elevators are very slow.

Great location and a good price for a basic room. Ita bit old in feel but perfectly adequate. Lots of foreign tourists. Nice bathroom amenities.

As other reviews said, excellent location. Fine staff. Room was bigger than I expected from other reviews. High up and looking North--great view of Central Park. Yes, lobby was small but I did not care. Cafe on ground floor was good. Superb Mediterranean restaurant right by the hotel entrance.
